Mineral Oil

Food grade mineral oil is the best oil to keep your mill running smooth. This oil is safe for food contact. If you're afraid of it getting in your grist, then you're using way too much. Can also be used to preserve your rollers if you plan to store the mill for an extended time. One drop on each axle, and one drop on the OD of each knob is all you need. It takes us 9 months to go through 2 oz. when assembling mills, so the small 1/2 oz. bottle is all you should ever need, and then some!
